How AAM handles your messages.

What the forms on this website collect, why, and who can see it.

Working draft

This page describes how the website’s forms technically behave. The legal text — the identity of the data controller, the legal basis, retention periods and the contact for data-protection requests — will be completed before AAM opens its programs.

What the forms collect

Only what you type into them: for example your name, email address, country, the role in which you are writing and your message. The server also records the date and time, the language of the page and the form you used.

It does not store your IP address. It keeps a one-way (hashed) fingerprint of it for a short time, only to limit abuse such as automated spam.

Why it is collected

To read your message and reply to it. AAM does not sell or share these messages, and does not use them for advertising.

Please don’t send medical records

A first message is not an application. Do not attach or paste medical records, diagnoses, identification documents or other sensitive documents. When applications open, you will be asked for your consent before a confidential patient file is created.

Who can read your message

Members of the AAM team who handle inquiries. Messages are stored on AAM’s server, not on a third-party form service.
