Alongside its foundational framework, AAM has published its operating model and growth strategy (version 1.0). It explains how the organization will work day to day and how it intends to grow.
An access-to-medicine network
AAM does not operate hospitals or deliver care. It identifies patients, assesses their medical and financial eligibility, connects them with qualified providers, finances and coordinates access to treatment, and monitors outcomes. The aim is a sustainable international network, rather than a collection of isolated charitable projects.
Key elements
- The patient journey — seven stages from outreach to follow-up, with independent medical review and direct payment to verified institutions wherever possible.
- A diversified funding model — individual donations, foundations, corporate philanthropy, institutional grants and, in time, dedicated medical funds.
- Youth-led governance — young people in real leadership roles, with an independent medical advisory committee, a patient assistance committee and qualified financial oversight.
- Impact measurement — patient-level, medical access and financial indicators, reported publicly.
- Five growth phases — foundation, initial patient programs, institutional development, international expansion and a global network.
Expansion is explicitly conditional on demonstrated impact, financial sustainability and operational readiness.
